Ashley completed her Master’s of Science – Physiotherapy degree at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. Since graduating, Ashley has worked with a wide range of clients and has developed a passion for Cancer Rehabilitation. Ashley is a Certified Cancer Rehabilitation Physiotherapist. She completed her certification through the PINC and STEEL Cancer Rehabilitation Trust in New Zealand. She believes that all individuals with cancer should have access to rehabilitation services to help them not just to survive, but to thrive.
Ashley’s vision for cancer rehabilitation in the Eastern Bay of Plenty is to provide access to quality rehabilitation services and promote activity and wellness among our community of cancer survivors; and so Energize Physiotherapy was born. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys hiking, yoga and being at or near the beach. She plays soccer for the Whakatane Women’s team and can be fiercely competitive. When she is not being active, Ashley enjoys cuddling up with her dog, Oscar and cats, Bonnie and Clyde, and geeking out with a good Marvel superhero movie. She likes to play video games or board games with her husband. She usually wins.
